I haven't seen one yet, beyond a few guys playing with them. I was wondering if the bolt was indeed more akin to the Ion style than the shocker...

No, it is definitely more akin to the Shocker than the Ion.

I'm working on a review that will include a virtual reality model of the bolt assembly.

If you can picture the Shocker bolt in your head, imagine firing chamber and control spool are a single piece unit - they are narrower than the equivalent parts on the Shocker because they need less gas storage volume, since gas accumulates inside the bolt guide, which is hollow. The Luxe firing chamber screws onto the quick-strip plug in the back, so the whole valve assembly strips out with the plug when you pull the degassing latch.

hmmm
interesting.
I just went to ZDSPB and andy has a a breakdown section up now. It's an interesting looking gun and design.
The only performance feedback I've heard was a caveat about terrible fsdo.
I doubt this is normal though.
Is this then the replacement for the shocker series?

Bill the review you did on the feather touch replacement manafold got my interest up in the lux.

I especially liked the way the quick strip bolt assembly came right out, wow! Wouldn't that be great for the Ion, or any other paintball marker.
