Haven't played paintball in several years, but I got my start messing around with cannons around here. As such, I figured ya'll might appreciate my latest project. It's not a tank but I think you'll like it anyways.
Oh, and no, it's not finished yet. Probably won't be for several more months but it oughtta be cool when it is.

D-hall, I was on Spudtech when this you first posted this idea. I haven't been to spudfiles in about a year...
Great job, I never thought you would get the approval for it.
Glad to see you again, sort of...

| what kind of pipe is that? oil/gas or something? I could only imagine how many nerfs you could get in there for a 'flachette' effect, or how many paintballs you could put. What size is it? Anyway, good luck on it for whatever purpose you use it for.

Looks more like for pumpkins than nerfs.

LOL...
No, not pumpkins. Way too big for such projectiles. Put it this way... Design goal is a 100 pound projectile to 1000 fps. Bore is 19".
So what IS it's purpose? It's a laboratory tool for people studying transonic impacts.

Still going for a Hybrid fuel mixture?
If you are updating the Spudfiles thread, could you give me a link?

So, if you can get 100 lbs to 1000 fps, any chance of being able to orbit 10 lbs?

Sweet.
TJ, doesn't look quite as big as the Babylon Gun that Gerard Bull was working on for low-orbit firing:

50 pounds gets to about 1300 fps.
10 pounds would in theory make it to 1900 fps, but honestly I don't think you could actually make a 10 pound projectile that would realistically hold up to launch forces.
