A friend of mine tossed an eggy 2 loader on his 98c(he was tired of shoot and shake) and was using dxs bronze. He had problems all day and at the end of the day opened his marker up and it was full of paint. My thought was that a stock 98c isn't the most gentle on paint and he probably had the speed on the loader turned up too high for semi brittle paint. Any thoughts? Is anyone,or has anyone run an eggy on a 98c? I'm thinking a thicker shelled paint and turning down the speed may solve the problem,he's ready to go back to a standard vl200 hopper(maybe I can get a backup loader for cheap Wink ).

ive run an eggy on my 98cs before and never had a problem. i would sudgest doing a cleanout of the breach of the 98c and the feedneck as well. also if you want, turn down the speed of the eggy to its lowest.

also do a check of the ball detent to see if it is worn out.

I agree with Paintzapper on this - I suspect debris or ball detent issues over the loading speed, since the Egg cuts off loading with an eye, and uses gravity, not force to feed into the marker.

Thanks guys, I'll tell him not to give up on it yet. His loader is a newer model than mine and they have a locking mechanism on the batterydoor, may reduce the need for duct tape on some of these.
