Hi all,
sorry if this isnt the correct spot for this question but didn't see a better place to post it. I've got a big outing the weekend after next and I need to buy a bunch of paint. I usally go to AVI buth they're just about out of Blaze,Bronze, Silver, RPS premium you name it. I was wondering if XO paint is any good or if anyone has a suggestion. I've always used DXS or Xball and had great luck with both so I'm a little nervous about switching it up.
Thanks for any advice

If you're used to Xball, DXS you are used to some of the best paint out there and can certainly expect to be let down by cheaper brands.
Marbs right now are primo, if that helps any. A friend of mine says that his local Sports Authority is stocking Xball podium on sale for 35 which if they're like bronze, is a great deal.
Good luck, I agree with you that paintballs need to be top notch.

Dave,
I eneded up finding a couple cases of bronze(which is boring out really big .695) and I am trying out some Ramp (.679). I love xball and its often on sale for $30 at the sports authority by me. Sports authority is actually the only place I can find xball. I'll let you know how ramp works out.

Went through 2 cases of ramp, I really liked the stuff. It prices out about the same as dxs bronze but seems a little more durable, worked out great in the woods. Xball podium series is one of my favorites, people say it's the exact same formula and shell as bronze but I feel like the xball is working better for me,and my friends using tippys have better luck with it so I think it's a thicker shell. Used the ramp in both my autocockers with .689 barrels and in my ion with .679 insert and it shot great groupings. I didn't play very well but I can't blame stupid moves on the paint.

I lucked into a couple of cases of Marbs the last two times out so life has been very good.

Nice,I still have some bronze and Xball left so I'll be set if I can get back out there. Seems like RPS and DXS aren't real quick to ship right now. I've talked to a few stores and they're having a hard time getting paint around here.

Collin, I work at a paintball field that picks up paint direct from the area you are referring to. To be honest I would stay away from the xo, it's just been a hit or miss this year. Alot of places are trying to reduce and keep minimal amount of paint on hand as paint sales decrease drastically in the winter months and will pick back up in the spring. I wouldnt frown above this, as the manufactorors and vendors are just wanting to ensure you are getting fresh paint instead of paint that has been sitting in their warehouse all winter long.

| Last time I played, I used XO, and it was ok, but a bit bouncy for my taste. I don't think it was their best grade of paint, but I wasn't pleased with the paint.

Mike,
I hear what you're saying but it's still frustrating when you're trying to pick up paint for several guys and there's nothing good available.
Are you able to say what field you work for?
